The original wild sweet pea as sent to Robert Uvedale by Franciscus Cupani in 1699. Quite small flowers, and only two per stem, but intensely coloured and with a wonderful scent. The flowers are produced in massive abundance on very bushy plants which rarely grow more than three or four feet tall. Very well worth its place in the modern garden, quite apart from its historical interest.
Annual climber to about 4 ft.
